Our Story
Memorable Lines is the creation of Jane E. Burton. Jane’s writing talents were recognized at an early age. She has written for community radio and newspapers, British Columbia provincial and Canadian national publications. Her first freelance work was published in a national newsmagazine when she was twenty-four years old. Since then many more writing credits have been gathered as Jane has worked both as a staff writer and a freelance writer. For over twenty-five years Jane made video documentaries and dramas mostly for use in adult education and public relations campaigns. In 2003, she took her video writing and production skills and put them to work making what she dubbed “documentaries without pictures” otherwise known as feature stories for the award winning program Nelson Before Nine on Kootenay Coop Radio. Jane brings enthusiasm and creativity to all her work. An historian by education, she is passionate about preserving our social history. The memoir service allows her to utilize her many creative skills and inch by inch make a difference in terms of recording history. Jane loves a challenge and she excels when working as a researcher, writer, interviewer and storyteller. She is a quick study who can absorb the essence of the matter, in a broad range of subjects, and render it in any medium required: print, audio or video. Her production company established in Vancouver in 1989, JEB.EH Productions, is the solid foundation upon which Memorable Lines is built. The transition from JEB.EH Productions to Memorable Lines means the crew and equipment have changed a bit but the mission remains the same. Memorable Lines provides creative and technical services to a variety of clients to help them to communicate their message or story effectively. |
